Find catalog entries and docs from ⌘K, reach owning teams on Slack, and scope who sees new services

· 3 min read

You can open a catalog entity, a TechDocs page, or a Confluence page from the same ⌘K dialog you use to move around the portal. Team Slack links sit on the team record so you can go from an owner name to a channel. Editors can hide in-progress services from the wider org, set several import tags in one pass, and scan Skill Guard scores on the skills list before opening each skill.

Global search for pages and indexed content

Global search (⌘K / Ctrl+K) still jumps to portal destinations. It also lists catalog entities and documentation that match your query, in one list. You type what you remember and open what your role allows.

The same rules apply to team-scoped entities as on the catalog and search pages. For tabs and filters, use the Search page.

See Search and navigation.

Reach the owning team on Slack

Catalog entities show an owning team. Optional Team Slack channel links on each team record give you a direct channel URL.

Open a Component or other entity and read the owner when you need someone for an incident, a roadmap question, or access. In Users & Teams, the Slack column opens the channel when a link is set. Team leads add or change the link at create time or on the team overview.

See Users and Teams.

Restrict catalog visibility to the owning team

Some imports are not ready for everyone in the organization. On import or edit, set Audience to Organization (default) or Team. Users outside the owning team cannot find or open a Team-scoped entity. Search and other catalog views follow the same rule.

See Importing Repos.

Set several import tags before entities land in the catalog

On the configure step of import, add multiple tags per repository, copy tags to selected rows, and review the full set before you confirm. You avoid a second editing pass after import.

See Importing Repos.

Scan Skill Guard scores on the skills list

The Skills list shows the latest completed Skill Guard score when one exists, or the current scan status when a scan is running or Skill Guard is not configured. You can pick which skills to open first.

See Skills.

Other catalog and UI changes

Catalog search matches partial words, not only full indexed terms. Filters, buttons, and row actions use consistent sizing on common layouts. Wide tables put row menus in an Actions column to reduce sideways scrolling. On the Skill Guard tab, higher-severity findings sort first. The help control on entity import is back.
