Tech Landscape

Tech Landscape in Venue.sh shows which technologies appear across your organization's connected repositories and helps you see overlap at a glance. The page aggregates Technologies from repository summaries generated when AI Settings indexing and General AI Usage are enabled.

Key Capabilities​

  • Organization-wide view - Browse a sorted list of technologies detected in ingested repositories, then filter to one or more of them.
  • Repository cards - See which repositories use each technology. Cards link to the catalog entity when one exists.
  • Normalized names - Spellings that differ only by letter case or spacing count as one technology. The label uses the most common spelling in your data.
  • Coverage - Compare how many repositories have technology data against the total number of repositories in scope.
  • Assistant context - On Tech Landscape, the Assistant knows which page you are viewing and can answer stack questions using the same catalog read access as the page.

Where to Find Tech Landscape​

  • Open Tech Landscape from the left-side navigation under the developer portal area.
  • Press ⌘K or Ctrl+K and type Tech Landscape, or common terms such as tech stack, technologies, languages, or frameworks. See Navigating Venue.sh.

Using the Page​

  1. Open Tech Landscape.
  2. Scan the technology list or select one or more technologies to filter the repository grid.
  3. Selected filters appear as chips. Clear a chip or reset filters to widen the view again.
  4. Click a repository card to open its catalog entity when a link is available.

Technologies come from each repository's Summary tab on its catalog entity. If a repository has no summary yet, it may not contribute technologies to Tech Landscape until ingestion completes and a summary is generated.

Permissions​

You need the same catalog Read permission as for the rest of the software catalog. If you cannot browse the catalog, Tech Landscape will not be available to you.

Using Tech Landscape with the Assistant​

On Tech Landscape, use Add current page to context or ask directly about stacks and repositories. For example:

  • "Which repositories use TypeScript and React?"
  • "What are the most common technologies in our organization?"

Prerequisites
  • Repositories imported into the catalog with valid Git source locations
  • Repository Ingestion and General AI Usage enabled under Settings > AI Settings
  • Summaries generated for repositories you expect to appear. See Viewing Repository Summaries.

Troubleshooting​

Tech Landscape is missingYour role may not include catalog read access, or the feature is hidden for your organization. Contact your Venue administrator.
Few or no technologies listedConfirm ingestion and general AI usage are enabled, then wait for summaries on linked repositories.
A repository is missing from the gridThe repository may lack a summary, may be outside your catalog access, or may not list technologies in its summary yet.
Filters show no repositoriesClear filters or pick a different technology. Confirm the spelling you expect appears in at least one repository summary.
